Al-shabaab continues to harass minority clans and killed farmer as well as charcoal burner in southern Somali regions

Mogadishu, Somalia 22 February, 2010 :: The National Association of Somali Science and Environmental Journalists (NASSEJ) is concern the recent killings and harassments against the Somali minority clan namely Garjante in Lower Jubba region of Somalia.

Currently, the insurgent fighting in Somalia executed killings against Somali young boys and girls from minority clans, and claims that they made illegal intercourse and stone them to death. Insurgent never stone to death to any other person from majority clans.

These discriminated minority Somalis faced Harsh treatment since 1991 the worst human violence in Somalia during the civil war. And more people of this community were killed, abducted and forced to leave their own properties every where they live in the country.

NASSEJ, calls for Al-shabaab to stop such this painful reprisal against the minority clans as well as all the innocent Somalis who currently live their ruling areas.
