Human Right Violation and Massacre in Kismayo Lower Jubba Region.

Alshabaab armed group had killed my step-bother in Somalia on 16^th February, 2010 he left six children and their mother. My brother was a farmer in Bullo-Gadud thirty five kilometer from the capital city of Kismayo. Lower Juba region these groups are controlled all parts of our region lower Juba.

My brother was kidnapped first then day after the farmers and other villagers reported his abduction they were taken to their head quarter Bullo-Gadud then they have slaughtered and put his dead body at the side of the long road connects Bullo-Gadud and Kismayo our elders and some relatives went to confirm this abduction after that elders and other relatives have seen his dead body when confirmed he is the one. Alshabaab men near the dead refused to burry, they were advised to go away as they have no permission to burry the dead body. After twenty four hours they send three men and told to the leaders to burry the dead.

The elders found him that he was slaughtered and cut at the neck and wounded parts of his body, when he was buried the three men who were among Alshabaab have escorted to the grave in order not to take photos and finally buried.

Therefore the massive killings, massacre and harassment continued to our ethnicity Garjante was continuing before the killings of Adab Siyad Ali, they also killed Salat Abdi Ali on September, 2009 who was the cousin of the late Adan Siyad Ali.

Mr. Salad was charcoal burner in the outskirts of the Kismayo city about 45 kilometers. They found him in his work station and first he was shot injured then slaughtered.

His workmates have confirmed his death then buried. We were told that they claimed that they suspected of him that he revealed to the media, the young girl who was accused of adultery, then stoned to death. They were same clan to the late men Adan Siyad Ali and Salat Abdi Ali.

The human rights violations and harassments to our small clan Garjante was continued and also killed several people in different localities in Lower Jubba, the belief of Alshabaab are any one who are not among them can be sentenced to death in any moment, the two cousins have not involved any group or any function group infact not straggling for power, they were civilian again works for their families one was farmer in the long side of Jabba river and the other one was trying to get his daily life on charcoal burner.

All those incidents happened to my relatives. Since Alshabaab took the power of southern Somalia and killed many innocent Somalis, the fate of many civilians in Somalis are in danger, women and children are the most vulnerable in Somalia such as the widower and orphanage whom their fathers were killed, the children have no sufficient life, the children have no education, and social assistance.

As I am the immediate relative of the late persons I am conveying my message to the human right agencies and entire world to rescue our lives and future of the children of the late Mr. Adan and Mr. Salat, our small clan Garjante are the most target group according to Alshabaab beliefs. We are appealing to the human right and any concerns agencies to assist us, as I am the relative of the late persons I will be killed any time because I am the only person giving the information to the media and other concerned offices.
